Focus and Scope

This journal publishes interdisciplinary research in the field of agribusiness, covering rural sociology, institutional economics, agricultural policy, socio-ecological sustainability, digital technology adoption, and the impact of market globalization on farmers and food systems.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

The Jurnal Ilmiah Sosio Agribis (JISA) was first published in 2001 based on the Rector's Decree of Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya No. Kep. 36/UWKS/V/2001 dated May 1, 2001, with a publication frequency of twice a year, in June and December. This journal publishes articles in the form of research papers and reviews related to agribusiness. Following the change of the study program's name from Agricultural Socio-Economics to Agribusiness, and in line with the advancement of the times, the journal underwent a transformation in 2015 by adapting to online publication without eliminating its print edition.
