Kepemimpinan Transformasional Dan Kinerja Aparatur Negara: Analisis Peran Kepuasan Kerja Sebagai Mediator

Abstract


This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on performance through the mediating role of job satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS), this study examines relationships among variables: transformational leadership as the exogenous variable, job satisfaction as the mediator, and performance as the endogenous variable. Data were collected through purposive sampling from employees at the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) in the Gerbangkertosusila area, East Java Province. The results from 120 samples show that job satisfaction significantly mediates the effect of transformational leadership on performance. This indicates that job satisfaction plays a key role in channeling transformational leadership's impact on employee performance. Additionally, findings reveal a direct effect of transformational leadership on performance and of job satisfaction on performance. Thus, leadership practices that inspire and motivate directly improve performance, while higher job satisfaction correlates with better performance. Job satisfaction serves as a vital motivational factor, fostering comfort, recognition, and productivity, ultimately enhancing performance quality.
