REPRESENTATIF KOLONIALISME DALAM NOVEL CANTIK ITU LUKA KARYA EKA KURNIAWAN (PENDEKATAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA)

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the representation of colonialism in the beautiful novel Luka using postcolonial theory with a literary sociology approach. The research method used in this research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with text content analysis techniques. The data source in this research is the novel text, namely the novel "Beautiful is a Luka" by Eka Kurniawan, which was reprinted with its twentieth printing in 2020. Based on the results of the analysis of the novel "Beautiful is a Luka" by Eka Kurniawan, the results are: 1. Representation of the Issue of Colonialism in Social Structure of Society in the Novel "Beauty is a Wound" by Eka Kurniawan, and 2. Messages and Criticisms Reflected in the Novel "Beauty is a Wound" by Eka Kurniawan. The conclusion is that this novel is full of depictions of colonialism which was very cruel for the Indonesian population and contains historical stories in Indonesia.
