Research Objective. Academic libraries serve as essential centers for information access and learning support in higher education institutions. However, the extent to which service quality and user behavioral patterns — particularly visit frequency — jointly influence student satisfaction remains underexplored, especially within Islamic university contexts. Research Method. This study examines the effect of library service quality, measured through three LibQUAL+ dimensions (Affect of Service, Information Control, and Library as Place), on student satisfaction. It investigates whether the frequency of library visits moderates this relationship. Employing a quantitative associative research design, data were collected from 100 undergraduate students of the Islamic Education Study Program at Ibrahimy University, Situbondo, Indonesia, selected through cluster sampling. A structured questionnaire based on a 5-point Likert scale was administered, comprising 22 items adapted from the LibQUAL+™ standard instrument and 8 indicators derived from Tjiptono (2019). Analysis Data. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with IBM SPSS Statistics 27. Results. The results confirm that library service quality has a positive and statistically significant effect on student satisfaction (B = 0.349; t = 16.002; p < 0.001). However, visit frequency does not significantly moderate this relationship (β = 0.042; t = 1.434; p = 0.155), suggesting that the quality of the service experience per visit is a stronger determinant than the frequency of physical attendance. The model explained 72.1% of the variance in student satisfaction (Adjusted R² = 0.721). Conclusions. These findings imply that library management should prioritize service quality enhancement over strategies aimed at increasing physical visit rates.
