Abstract


Bawang putih digunakan dalam pengobatan tradisional terhadap penyakit akut dan kronis selama lebih dari 1.000 tahun. Penelitian pada binatang menunjukkan bawang putih dapat menurunkan tekanan darah, tetapi penelitian pada manusia menunjukkan hasil yang bervariasi. Bawang putih lebih superior daripada plasebo dalam menurunkan tekanan darah pada individu dengan hipertensi. Bawang putih bisa digunakan dalam klinis pada pasien dengan hipertensi ringan. Bawang putih dapat digunakan sebagai bagian dari diet sebagai salah satu strategi tatalaksana hipertensi. Disusunlah artikel yang membahas mengenai peranan bawang putih terhadap hipertensi
