Author Guidelines

Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (JUISPOL)

1. General Requirements

  1. Manuscript can be written in Indonesian or English.

  2. Manuscript length is 15–20 pages or 5,000–8,000 words, including references.

  3. Manuscripts must be typed in Microsoft Word, A4 paper, one-sided pages.

  4. Page numbers must be included.

  5. Margins:

    • Top: 3 cm

    • Bottom: 3 cm

    • Left: 3 cm

    • Right: 2 cm

  6. The content must be typed in two columns, except title, author identity, abstract, and references.

2. Manuscript Structure

a. Title

  • Written in Times New Roman 14 pt, bold, centered.

  • Maximum 15 words, reflecting the content of the article.

b. Author Name(s) & Affiliation

  • Written in Times New Roman 12 pt, without academic titles.

  • Authors from different institutions must use superscript numbers.

  • Include institution name(s) and corresponding email.

c. Abstract

  • Written in Indonesian and English (except if the article is fully in English—Indonesian abstract is not required).

  • Times New Roman 11 pt, single spacing.

  • Length: 150–250 words.

  • Must briefly state: background, objective, theory, methods, results, and conclusion.

d. Keywords

  • 3–5 keywords, arranged alphabetically.

3. Article Content Format

1. Introduction

Contains background, problem formulation, theoretical basis, problem-solving framework, and research objectives.
Written in Times New Roman 12 pt, single spacing.

2. Method

Explain:

  • How data were collected

  • Data sources

  • Data analysis techniques

3. Results and Discussion

This is the main section of the article, containing:

  • Findings and answers to research questions

  • Interpretation of results

  • Integration of findings with previous theories

  • Development or modification of theory (if any)

4. Conclusion and Suggestions

  • Conclusions must directly answer the research problems.

  • Suggestions must be practical and clearly addressed to specific parties.

  • Written in essay form, not bullet points.

5. Acknowledgments (Optional)

May include gratitude to individuals or institutions contributing to the research.

6. References

  • Minimum 25 references.

  • Recommended to use recent sources from accredited journals or reputable international journals.

  • Use APA Style (American Psychological Association).

  • Strongly recommended to include references from Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (JUISPOL).

4. Figures and Tables

  • Figures must be placed within the text, not at the end.

  • Each figure must have a number and caption below it.

  • Captions must be clear, informative, and aesthetically arranged.

5. Types of Articles Accepted

  • Original research articles

  • Literature review articles

Structure includes:
Title → Author → Affiliation → Abstract → Keywords → Introduction → Methods → Results and Discussion → Conclusion & Suggestions → Acknowledgments → References
