Repository policy

- Purpose
This Repository Policy outlines the rights and guidelines for authors to deposit their scholarly work in institutional, subject-based, or personal repositories.
- Archiving Rights
The journal allows authors to archive all versions of their manuscript in any public or private repository, including:
- Preprint Version
- Version of the manuscript before peer review.
- Authors may deposit preprints at any time.
- Recommended to include a statement:
“This is a preprint version of the manuscript submitted to the Journal of Social and Political Sciences.”
- Postprint Version (Accepted Manuscript)
- Version after peer review but before typesetting/layout by the journal.
- Authors may deposit this version immediately upon acceptance.
- Should include proper citation to the final published version.
- Published Version (Version of Record)
- The final PDF as published in the Journal of Social and Political Sciences.
- Authors are allowed to deposit this version without embargo.
- Must include:
- Full citation of the article
- DOI link to the official version
- Repository Locations
Authors may deposit their manuscript in:
- Institutional repositories
- University libraries
- Subject-based repositories (e.g., SSRN, ResearchGate, Academia.edu)
- Personal websites
- National repository platforms
- Licensing
Deposited versions must follow the journal’s licensing policy:
- Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
- Any reuse must provide proper attribution to the authors and the journal.
- Citation Requirement
Any deposited version must include clear citation to the journal's published article, including:
- Article title
- Author names
- Journal name
- Volume, issue, and year
- DOI link to the final published version
Example citation statement:
“This is the accepted version of an article published in the Journal of Social and Political Sciences. The final version is available at: [insert DOI link].”
- Indexing and Archiving
The journal ensures long-term digital preservation through:
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PLN)
- LOCKSS/CLOCKSS (if enabled)
These systems automatically back up all published content.
