The peer review process is a quality assessment mechanism in which experts in the relevant field evaluate manuscripts before publication. This process helps the editorial board determine whether a manuscript meets the academic standards for publication in Jurnal Ilmiah Sosio Agribis. Peer review serves as an integral part of scholarly publishing, ensuring the validity and quality of published research.
Process Overview
All submitted manuscripts undergo the following review stages:

Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment to verify that the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope, meets basic submission requirements, and follows the journal’s formatting guidelines. -
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent peer reviewers. Jurnal Ilmiah Sosio Agribis employs a double-blind review system, where both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the evaluation process. -
Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the editors decide whether to:-

Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript before a final decision is made.

Submission: Authors submit manuscripts via the journal’s online submission system or email.

Editor-in-Chief Evaluation: The Editor-in-Chief assesses originality, relevance, and overall suitability. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without further review.

Reviewer Response: Reviewers consider the invitation based on their expertise, availability, and potential conflicts of interest.

Review Execution: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript thoroughly and provide detailed feedback along with a recommendation (accept, revise, or reject).

Decision Making: The editor evaluates all reviewer feedback and makes the final decision.

Communication: The decision and reviewer comments are communicated to the corresponding author.

The maximum allowable similarity index (checked via Turnitin) is 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors for revision.
