Plagiarism Screening

Plagiarism Policy

The Editorial Board of Jurnal Ilmiah Sosio Agribis firmly rejects all forms of plagiarism and has therefore established the following policy and corresponding actions in the event that plagiarism or text similarity is identified in articles submitted for publication.

Originality Check
Jurnal Ilmiah Sosio Agribis uses Turnitin software to detect textual similarity in submitted manuscripts as well as in the final version prior to publication.

Similarity Threshold
The maximum allowable text similarity is 20%. Articles with a similarity index at or below this threshold will proceed to the next review stage.

Handling Procedure

  1. If the similarity index exceeds 20%, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision to meet originality standards.

  2. Authors are permitted to resubmit the manuscript after making the necessary improvements.

  3. If the similarity level remains above 20% after revision, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the manuscript.

Actions Against Severe Plagiarism
In cases of intentional plagiarism or very high similarity (e.g., above 30%), the editorial board may take further measures, including:

  • Permanent rejection of the manuscript.

  • Temporary prohibition of the author(s) from submitting to this journal.

  • Notification to the author's affiliated institution, if deemed necessary.

By submitting a manuscript to Jurnal Ilmiah Sosio Agribis, the author agrees to this policy and commits to complying with all applicable terms and conditions.
