KINERJA PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM MEWUJUDKAN IMPLEMENTASI PAKET TEKNOLOGI DI KELURAHAN BATU PAPAN KECAMATAN MAKALE KABUPATEN TANA TORAJA

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kinerja penyuluh pertanian dan pemahaman petani terhadap paket teknologi pertanian di Kecamatan Makale, Tana Toraja. Pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan dengan melibatkan seluruh 7 orang penyuluh aktif dan 30 orang sampel petani penerima paket teknologi dari 139 populasi di Desa Batu Papan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman petani terhadap paket teknologi tergolong sangat tinggi, dengan indeks sebesar 82,6%. Kinerja penyuluh secara keseluruhan juga berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi (indeks 82%), dengan satu penyuluh menonjol memperoleh skor tertinggi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan keberhasilan implementasi program penyuluhan. Berdasarkan hasil, penelitian merekomendasikan pengoptimalan media penyuluhan berbasis teknologi informasi, seperti video, infografis, dan aplikasi pertanian sederhana, untuk semakin mempermudah pemahaman dan adopsi inovasi teknologi oleh petani.

This study evaluated the performance of agricultural extension workers and farmers' understanding of agricultural technology packages in Makale District, Tana Toraja. A quantitative descriptive approach was used, involving all 7 active extension workers and 30 sample farmers receiving the technology packages from a population of 139 in Batu Papan Village. The results showed that farmers' understanding of the technology packages was very high, with an index of 82.6%. The overall performance of extension workers was also in the very high category (index 82%), with one outstanding extension worker achieving the highest score. These findings indicate the successful implementation of the extension program. Based on the results, the study recommends optimizing information technology-based extension media, such as videos, infographics, and simple agricultural applications, to further facilitate farmers' understanding and adoption of technological innovations.
