ARCHIVE POLICY

The Journal of Urban Sociology (JUS) is committed to the long-term preservation of, and permanent access to, all published content. To ensure that articles remain available even if the journal ceases publication, JUS uses the following digital preservation and archiving arrangements:

  1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). All published articles are preserved through the PKP PN, a LOCKSS-based private network that creates permanent, distributed archives of journals published on Open Journal Systems.
  2. LOCKSS. JUS uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, allowing them to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
  3. Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital). Article metadata and full texts are deposited in Garuda, the national scientific reference portal of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
  4. Crossref DOI. Every article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) under the prefix 10.30742, ensuring a persistent link to the published version.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional or subject repositories, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), provided that the original publication in JUS is acknowledged and the DOI is cited.
